Have you ever seen an animal experience extreme stress or trauma? I have. I have seen with my own eyes what has been noted about the animal kingdom:
When animals suffer trauma, it has been documented that they willliterally shake it off, which helps the animal discharge the energy of the traumatic event.
Immediately after my dog, Sushi, was bit by another dog at the dog beach, she shook her entire body from head to toe (like really shook it, as if she were soaking wet) … and then moved on.
If we allow it, mental trauma can have long-lasting impacts on our body and mind by keeping us STUCK in our stress response. And then we never really move on, do we?
Today I challenge you to release that stress, let go of that anxiety and forget about that overwhelm … even if just for a brief moment. Take a page out of Sushi’s handbook and release that stress as it hits you. Today I challenge you to SHAKE IT OFF and away!
