Some psychologists say expressing your anger or frustration by punching a pillow is an acceptable, even sensible, form of relief.

In her book You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life, Jen Sincero describes a practice like this as having a total shitfit:

Go somewhere alone and far away from other people and beat the hell out of pillow or a mattress or some other soft, inanimate object that won’t hurt your fist or punch you back. Scream and yell [about your situation] and go for it 100% until you’re exhausted or someone calls the cops on you.

Today’s Challenge

HAVE A SHITFIT. TAKE ALL THE ANGER/STRESS/ANXIETY OF YOUR STUCK OUT ON AN INANIMATE OBJECT. LET IT ALL OUT.
